The project forms part of the 225 kV overhead evacuation line of the Ouarzazate Solar Thermal Power Station. This line together with the 3 transformer substations in the construction phase constitute the ONEE project for the evacuation of the energy which will be produced by the “CENTRALE SOLAIRE DE OUARZAZATE” solar station.

SEMI was awarded 225 km of the 300 km line making up the project and will link the Ouarzazate solar power plant with the city of Errachidia.

It comprises a single circuit line and phase. The study and engineering aspects were carried out by the client, and SEMI was responsible for the construction. During the construction phase, the work carried out was typical of a ONEE model line, namely: the geotechnical study, excavation and foundation, raising of towers and laying of cable and OPGW fibre.
