Since mid-2025, all our crews have a new ally in their daily operations: the &#8220;<strong>HADAS<\/strong>&#8220;, an assistance system inspired by the automotive sector&#8217;s ADAS that we have pioneered in adapting for LLW buckets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What are &#8220;HADAS&#8221;?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They are <strong>compact devices installed in the elbow of the bucket<\/strong> that emit visual and acoustic alerts when they detect an unsafe approach to energized lines. Their function is to <strong>assist and reinforce supervision<\/strong>, especially that of the Crew Leader, without replacing existing safety procedures or elements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>An innovation developed from experience<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A joint project was initiated with the manufacturer to <strong>adapt and reconfigure the device<\/strong> for this new application. Laboratory and field tests were conducted, adjusting:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sensitivity and voltage levels <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Response to boom movement <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Parameterization of alerts <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Safe installation and removal procedures <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The result is a more <strong>operational, durable, and effective system<\/strong> that adds an additional layer of prevention in the most delicate maneuvers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>SEMI, a pioneer in the sector<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SEMI is the <strong>first company in the sector<\/strong> to implement this device in this specific configuration. The initiative has been presented in various forums and technical meetings, receiving an <strong>excellent reception<\/strong> from both clients and professionals in the LLW field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Added value for the crews<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Field teams and, especially, Crew Leaders have highly valued the &#8220;HADAS&#8221;, highlighting:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Their capacity to support decision-making <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The increase of control and safety in risk areas <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The ease of use and integration into the daily routine<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Innovation with real impact<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For us, innovation is only true innovation when it is successfully applied and improves safety.
