SEMI took part in the XV National Congress of Irrigation Communities, held in León from May 31 to June 3, 2022.

The Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Luis Planas, visited our booth and exchanged ideas with our Regional Delegate, Mr. Felipe Castaño, and the Head of Castilla y León, Mr. Carlos Domínguez.
Our CEO, Mr. Maikel García, also attended the closing ceremony, which included participation from the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Ángel González Quintanilla (President of the Central Syndicate of the Barrios de Luna Reservoir and President of the Congress), Mr. Andrés del Campo (President of FENACORE), Mr. José Antonio Díez (Honorable Mayor of León), Mr. Gerardo Dueñas (Minister of Agriculture of the Junta de Castilla y León), Mr. Hugo Alfonso Morán (Secretary of State for the Environment), and Mr. Juan Valero de Palma (Secretary-General of FENACORE).

SEMI actively contributed to the congress by highlighting the concept of Irrigation 5.0, Digitalization/Remote Control, Process Management and Automation, Adapting to the Needs of Irrigation Communities, and the Construction and Maintenance of Efficient and Sustainable Installations. These efforts aim to optimize two key resources, Water and Energy, while ensuring profitability.

We would like to extend our gratitude to the Congress Organization and, in particular, to the individuals involved for their outstanding personal and professional efforts, which elevated León as a Technological Hub of Spain during these days.
