Broadband Network in Peru
Project Features
SEMI has participated in the construction of 140 nodes to provide broadband network access in the regions of Cuzco and Ayacucho. The project is part of the strategic initiatives of Peru’s Ministry of Telecommunications, aimed at delivering fiber optic connectivity to rural areas to provide coverage for both individuals and institutions. To date, SEMI is collaborating in two of the five tendered regions, implementing a turnkey methodology for the access network. This includes land parcel identification, legalization and land clearing, engineering, and the construction of 140 nodes for the transport and access network.

FTTH and FTTN Network Deployment
SEMI has been involved in the deployment of FTTH networks, with over 100,000 homes passed, and FTTN links, with more than 3,000 connected nodes. These projects add to SEMI’s extensive experience in the deployment and maintenance of fixed networks, both for operators and carriers, as well as utilities, in aerial and underground environments.
Telecommunications in the Railway and Metro Sector
The synergies between our Railways and Communications business lines enable us to provide clear added value in telecommunications solutions for railway environments. As a result of these synergies, we have successfully undertaken various projects: We have certified Pilots and Supervisors, allowing us to execute these projects autonomously and on a turnkey basis.
